Digital Education Officer
Description✓Role
✓We are looking for someone to join the Digital Education team at KMMS.
✓KMMS [Kent and Medway Medical School] is a collaboration between Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent.
✓Duties and Responsibilities
✓* Re-directing e-mail queries which have arrived in the digital education inbox, but are handled by other departments e.g
✓forgotten password requests should go to the relevant university IT helpdesk.
✓* Uploading of reviewed PowerPoint files and any other files to the VLE.
✓* Exporting of narrated PowerPoint files to mp4.
✓* Uploading of mp4s
✓* Embedding of recordings for pre-recorded lectures, for live lectures and for pre-reading documents [Year 3].
✓* Supporting external contributors with access to systems e.g
✓logging in at a lecture theatre pc, opening Qwickly, setting up lecture recording.
✓* Supporting online Collaborate sessions e.g
✓promoting those arriving via guest link to a presenter/moderator role.
✓* Editing of KMMS Learn [our virtual learning environment] module layout if required e.g
✓moving folders, copying tests etc.
✓Skills and Experience
✓* The ability to learn quickly.
✓* Good customer service skills to liaise with staff, students and external contacts of the Medical School.
✓* Specialised experience ideally or comfortable with technology and willing to learn.
✓* Experience of working with virtual learning environments if possible
