What will the role involve?
You will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, external providers and employers. Through them, you will source eligible learners, employment and progression opportunities for our learners across a suite of newly won and established contracts.
Some of the main accountabilities will include:
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ We are looking for an outstanding individual to promote learndirectÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬Ã¢ÂÂ¢s NEET IAG (for those Not in Education, Employment or Training) programme for 15-24 year olds to key referral partner agencies, to ensure occupancy, outcome and progressions targets
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Developing strategic and mutually rewarding partnerships with external providers to maximise opportunities for young people across the entire Hertfordshire LEP area
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Developing relationships with Schools/Colleges/Local Authorities/The Local Enterprise Partnership to promote the provision
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Working with Young People providers such as Apprenticeship Providers and Traineeship providers to source an appropriate positive progression
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Working with employers to source potential managed job vacancies, and structure bespoke pre-employment training courses for the resultant recruitment
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Working with employers to promote maths and English support services for employed learners, to up-skill their workforce with functional skills
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Identifying and implementing partnership opportunities within learndirect
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Achieving referral and employer engagement targets across a range of industries and contracts
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Establish, build and maintain partnerships with a wide portfolio of existing and potential partners to fulfil the business needs through regular contact and management.
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Actively seek new business opportunities with stakeholders.
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Develop a network of relationships with employed learners through business development and marketing engagement
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Maintain accurate records of specified business development activity and provide timely and consistent data using learndirect systems
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Identify key networking opportunities to maximise your impact on your centre(s) and supply chain referrals increasing income opportunities
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Deliver pitches and presentations to referral partners and stakeholders to secure new business
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Maintain an excellent level of product knowledge and understanding of all funding opportunities
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Advertise and promote learndirect to referral partners, employers and potential learners using a wide range of techniques in order to achieve learner acquisition targets
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Attend networking events and other promotional opportunities, maintaining a professional and credible profile on behalf of learndirect ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬Ã¢ÂÂ these may be outside of normal working hours, so some flexibility is required.
What skills, experience, and qualifications are we looking for?
To be successful, your application must be able to demonstrate:
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Proven success in a target-driven sales environment, ideally related to employability, education, or adult skills
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Proven success in generating high levels of repeat business and success in developing and managing long term business partnerships
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Strong and confident presentation, communication, and networking skills
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Pragmatic and analytical problem-solving skills
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively network
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ Strong IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Office applications
ÃÂ¢Ã¢ÂÂ¬ÃÂ¢ A current valid driving licence and own car.
