Downstream Process Development
The DSP department is responsible for the development of scalable, pharmaceutical-grade production processes for Biosimilar Monoclonal antibodies using mammalian cell lines as a production platform. Novel technologies are used to make sure that the processes are cost-effective, so that the Biosimilar can be produced in large quantities at low costs. These processes must be safe, reliable and scalable. They are implemented in a GMP production facility for the production of clinical batches and scaled-up for commercial production. All activities are performed in close collaboration with other departments.
Our client isÃÂ looking for a ScientistÃÂ to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment. Using small and medium size chromatography and cross flow filtration systems you will work in a team, which is responsible for designing and executing experiments to characterization and optimization of our current and future processes and documentation of the results. Results are evaluated together with the senior Scientist/Team leader. Beside experimental activities also general lab tasks and technical support to manufacturing facility also part of the function. We have a strong focus on continuously improving our (working) processes, to which you are also expected to contribute.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc or equivalent inÃÂ Life Sciences or a relevant discipline and will have knowledge of training in (bio) process, Biochemistry or comparable studies. Practical experience with Chromatography (not solely HPLC) is essential. Experience with AKTA lab systems and Cross flow experience is desirable.
The candidate fit for the job must be accurate, flexible, show initiative and a team player. A creative mind set and a can-do attitude is key for this position.
