Telesales Executive - Loot London Edition

Loot is a division of Associated Newspapers Ltd and is the UK’s original classifieds ads paper. Established in 1985, Loot has been matching buyers to sellers through print and online advertising solutions. We are now looking for dynamic people to expand our London Commercial Sales Division.

The role

  • To sell classified advertising over the telephone.
  • To establish new business relationships with organisations, independent traders and small businesses.
  • To maintain a high level of outbound calls to achieve set revenue targets.

On a day to day basis, you will be self motivated and confident in your ability to cold call a variety of businesses to sell across all our print and online products. Skills required

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • A sound understanding of the sales process and knowledge of what it takes to close business over the telephone.
  • Hard working, positive and dependable.
  • Highly organised and proactive.
  • Experience in an outbound fast moving sales environment would be advantageous.

Loot is a division of Associated Newspapers Ltd and is a print and online classified advertising business. For over 25 years we have been putting buyers and sellers together. We are now looking for Advertising Sales Executives with experience of B2B sales and cold calling to join our expanding Commercial Division. (Loot & Loot.com)

About You

As a member of our telesales team you'll be self motivated, professional, and confident in your ability to cold call a variety of businesses to sell advertising packages in all our print and on-line publications. You must be passionate about telesales, great on the phone and get a real buzz from smashing your targets. You will have the ability to establish new business relationships with organisations, independent traders and small businesses.

You'll be in control of your day and your financial rewards. All we ask is that you can:

  • Establish the advertiser’s needs through effective use of questioning/listening skills.
  • Sell the advertiser the best possible package based on their needs.
  • Achieve and exceed set monthly revenue targets.
  • Achieve outbound call activity of around 100 new business calls per day.
  • Keep accurate records of all sales transactions and enquiries.
  • Be proactive at sourcing additional leads when needed.
