Late Shift Welder/Fabricator
Description✓Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering & Manufacturing team are supporting a market leading manufacturer of process equipment in West Yorkshire, commutable from Skipton, Ilkley, Wetherby and surrounding areas
✓We are keen to speak to Assembly Operatives with welding experience who want to progress their career and train within Fabrication and Welding.
✓The current team is well-established and high performing, and they are looking for additional Assembly Operatives with welding experience to support their growth.
✓We are currently seeking Assembly Operatives who are available to work the following shift Pattern:
✓Late Shift: Monday - Wednesday 2:15pm - 12:30am / Thursday 2.15pm – 12.00am
✓Pay: £16.25 p/h inclusive of shift allowances with the opportunity to progress up to £20 p/h following a successful completion of training over a period of time, following a skills matrix.
✓Hours per week: 37.5 hours with 45 minutes break split across 1 break and lunch.
✓Overtime: Paid at time and half
✓Role and Responsibilities:
✓To determine the parts required for the assembly and perform general inspection of the picked parts [including they are correct to the bill of materials and in good condition]
✓To ensure the parts are prepared as per instruction on the works orders and drawings for welding/assembly
✓To carry out MIG and basic TIG
✓To use hand tools
✓To assembly items required following the instructions on the engineering drawing, ranging from building machine sections to small components
✓To assembly basic pipe work, this includes pneumatic pipework and general pipework
✓To quality check completed work
✓To ensure work performed meets the production timescales
✓To safely move parts, ensuring the appropriate lifting tools and operating the overhead crane
✓To adhere to the company safe systems of work and appropriate standard operating processes
✓To flexibly undertake any other duties similar with this level of post, according to the needs of the business
✓Skills and Experience:
✓Ability to use hand tools [such as grinders, drills, die grinder, hexsert gun, monobolt gun, hand drill, mag-drill, air tools, stud gun] [training will be given required]
✓Welding experience is desirable
✓Overhead crane experience would be desirable
✓Understanding of H&S policy, procedures and working safely
